Vacation

You earn vacation days during your employment, and the number of days you earn varies depending on your contract and local regulations.

At some destinations, you may take one week of vacation during the season. However, this is not possible if you work a shorter season or if you are based at one of our hotels. In those cases, you will instead receive two weeks of vacation between the summer and winter seasons.

If you have already taken one week of vacation during the season, you will receive one additional week between the summer and winter seasons.

If you do not continue working after your first season, the vacation days you have earned will be paid out.

  • Working in a Sunwing or Sunprime

    If you work as a Show Host, Fitness Host, Spa Host, Sound and Light Host or Lollo & Bernie / Teen Host on a Sunwing or a Sunprime you will not get any vacation during the season. 

    Instead two weeks of vacation between the seasons. 

  • Working as a guide

    If you work as a guide for a full season, between March/April - September/October you will get one week of vacation during the season. 

    Then you will have one week of vacation between the seasons. 

  • Working high season or stand-by

    If you are working for a shorter season, a high season or if you start in the middle of a season as a stand-by you will not get any vacation during the season.
